Course Description

The “Silver Tsunami” is in full form and family wealth transfers are occurring at unprecedented rates. Tax professionals are being called upon by long term clients and their families to assist with conservatorship, probate, and trust administration.

This class will focus on trust administration, but has broad application for tax professionals serving aging clients and their families after incapacity or death.

Learning Objectives

1) Understand the legal mechanisms for dealing with the incapacity or death of our clients.

2) Examine various trusts and how/why they are used.
